Now that the raffles monies have been distributed and the proceeds have been tallied, the sales did not meet our expectations or needs. The raffle brought in $8830 out of a possible $16000. To avoid having a spring fundraiser we needed to sell 1000 tickets, as was stated in previous gym notices. In order to keep Booster Club contributing at 75% of coaching expenses the membership will be asked to participate in another fundraiser. The Booster Club, by strong majority, has decided to fall back on Pizza Corner pizza sales to cover the shortcomings. With strong support in pizza sales it will help not only the Booster Club, but the gym as a whole and put us in a solid financial state for next year.
Please remember what being a Booster Member means:
- 75% of all coaching costs paid for Team gymnasts (in excess of $9000 in 2010-11 season and very close to $10,000 for 2011-2112 season).
- Pays 100% of all Junior and Senior Acro performance fees.
- Scholarships available to families in need.
- Fun monies provided for team building experiences.
- Coaching expenses covered for Regional and National competitions.
- Scholarship opportunities for training of coaches on a regional and national level.
- Achievement Club Awards for gymnasts.
- Pays for all Acro and Team gymnasts meals at the annual banquet.
- Membership benefits families in getting to know one another and giving support to all gymnasts at all levels of competition and performances.
- Helps provide the gym with needed equipment.
